Experience
I have been a teacher and a tutor for 20+ years, working in private and public schools in Austin, Hong Kong, Costa Rica, New York City, and Aspen. I have extensive experience tutoring students one-on-one and find this type of educational interaction extremely rewarding. In a constructivist fashion, my students are guided to figure it out without me just revealing the answer. I have traveled through 40+ countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, North and Central America. I have played a classical Indian drum called "tabla" for 20 years. I am also a singer, guitar player, songwriter, and an avid collector of music of all genres. I love to play sand volleyball, and I swim, trail run and practice yoga on a regular basis. I enjoy tennis, ping-pong, juggling, mountain biking, scuba diving, and skiing.
