Experience
Spanish has been a part of my life for 35 years, and as a result I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I have studied it, lived it and taught it. I majored in Spanish and lived in Spain for one year as a student. I lived in Honduras for almost 2 years as a missionary and have traveled and lived, for educational purposes, in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. I also directed a lay missionary program which oversaw missions in Mexico, Guatemala and Peru, and I frequently traveled to these sites. I have taught Spanish at the Middle and High School levels, as well as, have taught Adult Community Ed. classes. Spanish and the culture that surrounds it are very much a part of who I am and they are something that I love to share with others. I also love to help others learn the language because I feel that in the world we live in today it is very important to know more than one language.
