I graduated Spring of 2012 from UT Austin with a 3.5 GPA, double-majoring in Writing & Rhetoric and Sociology.

I have a good deal of writing experience, having contributed original content to both websites and print publications. While a student at UT, I worked as a columnist for The Daily Texan; as an editorial intern at Texas Observer magazine; as a freelance content writer for web-based magazine Austin Mind & Body; and as an independent blogger. All this work is in addition to the many specialized writing courses taken for my major. Most of these classes involved routine peer-editing seminars, where students met one-on-one to assess and improve each other's papers. Having participated in dozens of these sessions, I am used to the dynamic of individual-focused critique, and know how to balance candid advice with positive reinforcement.
