I currently teach second grade in South Austin. My students perform at a wide variety of levels across subject areas, providing me with a great deal of experience differentiating instruction to meet their needs and implementing responsive instruction. Before I moved to Austin, I worked for two years in New York as a teacher's assistant providing academic intervention services for grades K-12. I primarily provided small-group instruction to target reading fluency and comprehension but also worked on math skills with small groups. I also tutored a first grade student privately for one year. We worked on reading comprehension and math fluency. My extensive background in education and my graduate classes have helped me become a very efficient and responsive educator. My strength is reading and math skills but would also tutor other elementary subjects!

Hobbies
I am a very outgoing and bubbly person! I love to be outdoors, especially now that I live in Texas and get a lot more sun! I love to read and will do so in my spare time - picking up a book that is not a textbook for my classes or a book for my job is a luxury!
