I am a pre-medical student from Florida, I am transferring to UT either summer or fall semester. I was a psychology major in Florida with an emphasis in biological psychology and neuroscience.
Experience
I tutored my sorority sisters in general psychology and pharmacology back in Florida. I want to tutor for many reasons, mainly because I like to teach and share my knowledge with others. I remember the impact my tutors had on me and I would like to have that same positive influence on someone else. I have taken courses in neuroscience, pharmacology, pediatric and adult psychopathology, general psychology, social psychology, and a variety of general education courses, such as history and religion. My psychology background also provides a solid foundation for study skills and test preparation, I self-studied for my ACT, scoring a 32 out of 36. I received an academic scholarship from my school in Florida and was recognized by my school's Panhellenic Conference for academic achievement for the Spring semester.

Hobbies
I am a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, I enjoy volunteering with my sorority, and I spent the last year caring for my mother, who had brain cancer. I was a competitive cheerleader and dancer in high school, as well as active in theatre, SGA, Model UN and I was a member of National Honor Society. I continued to do ballet after high school and added contemporary and jazz to my repertoire. I make friends where ever I go and I have a passion for helping others. I recently moved to Texas and I'm looking forward to getting involved with my church and volunteering at the hospital while I finish my pre-med requirements, prepare to apply to medical school, and study for my MCAT (eeks!).
