#### Education

MS and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan with a 3.45 GPA.#### Experience

I have taken and excelled in all the mathematics subjects and applied mathematics disciplines advertised. My strength in tutoring is the diversity of my training and experience with 30 years as a scientist in the electronics and petroleum industries.I have over 200 university credit hours in electrical engineering (including physics, circuits, field theory, physical electronics (devices), communications, systems, and machinery), math, computing, mechanical engineering.

I've published my Scientific research in international society journals for IEEE and SPE.

Perhaps most importantly to tutoring, I have 15 yrs. working professionally and personally with individuals -– adults, young adults, and students –– in what is critically and urgently important to them.

#### Hobbies

Do you want A's, high exam scores, greater confidence in your abilities, professional college entrance and financing applications? I'd love to work with you.I am passionate about friendship, conversation, reading, writing, movies, personal health, basketball, and communing in nature.

Breakthroughs, big and small, happen by engaging in what matters to us.

#### Preferred Subjects

My core tutoring subjects are: Calculus, Physics, Statistics, and Engineering. My tutoring is very personal ~ focusing on grounding and connecting the student in the physical scenario, which brings the equations and methods to a mastery level. The student knows what is going on. Perspective and intuition lead thinking into the analytics. This is the foundation of confidence for unforeseen as well as ordinary circumstances in learning mastery. . . . . . I tutor mathematics at all levels from elementary through the university ~ beginning with number concepts and value, counting numbers, fractions, and especially word problems to algebra, trigonometry, geometry, to advanced calculus, vector calculus, the real line, probability theory and statistics, differential equations, and applied math in physics and most engineering disciplines. . . . . . . . . In addition to raising scores, I critique college application essays so that your student sounds and is much more prepared for college and the university. However, my specialty is listening carefully during sessions to be sure the student gets the intuitive visuals that link the math and the physical situation being modeled. When this "grounding" is in place, breakthroughs happen! That is my business.
