Experience
Former Tutoring Experience: -Head Tutor, Cornell Mathematics Support Center, Ithaca, NY -Personal Tutor and SAT Curriculum Designer, Aristotle Associates, San Francisco, CA -7 years of personal tutoring experience working with students from middle school through graduate school I started working as a tutor during my freshman year of college. Since that time, I have helped students prepare for numerous different goals, including private school entrance exams, the old SAT, AP exams, introductory undergraduate classes, and graduate school courses. Tutoring is by far the best job I have ever held. I enjoy starting from what the student understands and helping them integrate new concepts into their mental framework. After I graduated college, I worked for Mevion Medical Systems, a medical physics company which builds synchrocyclotrons for proton therapy uses. I was a junior physicist for two years, where I helped install and commission the world's first superconducting synchrocyclotron used in a clinical environment and worked on research and design projects for next-generation advancements in the system. I am returning to school to pursue my Ph.D in Physics. Hopefully, I can find work as a research scientist upon completion. I am moving to Austin in late June and am available starting on July 1st.
