My SAT Verbal score was 780, and I attained a 5 on four of the six AP exams I took in high school (along with a 4 on the other two). I'm currently preparing to take the GRE for the second time, after getting a 321 on my first attempt. My previous job was generating and managing content for a local non-profit, so I'm very comfortable with any aspect of writing. I've also taught in high schools, both as a substitute and as a full-time employee of a writing-based non-profit, so I have lots of experience in working with different types of students. I also worked as a private tutor throughout college, mostly with middle and high school students but also with some other college students.

I've lived in Austin for nearly all of my life, with brief sojourns in North Carolina and Cuzco, Peru. I play soccer for a high-level amateur team, and also play drums in a band. Besides the ones I mentioned, I've had a number of jobs over the years, as well: barrista, dishwasher, waiter, hunting guide, ranch hand, solar installer, and doorman; I can get along with most people in most situations.
