Experience
I grew up in Boulder, Colorado, and received my bachelor's degree in Business and English at the University of Colorado. In addition to my other subjects, during my time as an undergraduate, I studied ethics in leadership for four years. I was also an intern with Mark Udall, current U.S. Senator, while he was in the House of Representatives, and I was a recipient of Honors in a James Joyce study. I worked for five years as an account manager at the global headquarters of Crocs Footwear until a move 2011, which took me to Austin, Texas. In Austin I started a career in education, and have received certification to teach the following subjects in Texas: Special Education, Social Studies, Business, Math, and Language Arts. Although I am interested and skilled in each of the above-mentioned subjects, my passion is undoubtedly Language Arts. I also have experience in helping with test prep. My style of teaching involves centering my teaching and methods on my students in every aspect, which means discovering and accepting their unique learning and studying styles, and catering my tutoring towards those individual needs. When I am not teaching, I enjoy playing music, reading, and spending time with my family.
