Experience
I believe that learning and having fun are two things that go together. I like to keep my students interested in what they are learning. I believe that doing so causes them to be more engaged, as well as making them curious about life. I also enjoy using pop culture when my students and I learn about subjects together, because it helps them retain the information they are learning. I tutor students in a variety of subjects. However, English, Literature, and Composition are my favorite subjects. I work in academic publishing at the University of Texas, and I am also an Adjunct Professor of English at a community college.I tutor students in Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, College Essays, Summer Tutoring, Study Skills and Organization, Public Speaking, and English. I also work with gifted students.I am a graduate of the Arkansas State University, where I earned my bachelor's degree. I also graduated from Texas State University, San Marcos, where I earned my Master of Arts in Literature, with a concentration in Philosophy and Cinema.In my spare time, I love to read books, watch movies and TV, and practice yoga.
