Aureliano P.

Private tutor in Austin, TX

Education

M.S. Physics, Texas State University, Summa Cum Laude

Experience

I have taught undergraduate physics labs for 4 years and completed research endeavors in the field of physics education. Through high-level physics pedagogy courses, I have learned to quickly identify misconceptions and errant logic in students attempting complex problems. Once these issues are identified, I can give examples, problems, and conduct thought experiments to create the necessary cognitive dissonance in the student to rectify their comprehension of the subject material. This allows for a learning process which minimizes frustration and promotes a positive outlook towards often dreaded subjects.

Hobbies

I'm an Austin native who loves helping students feel the joy and accomplishment of fully understanding some of the most complex concepts known. I work as a government contractor and tutor between research projects. I love the outdoors (camping, hiking, skiing, biking, etc.) and am an avid fan of hockey, football, and basketball.
