I have 6 years experience as an English teacher in grades 6-12, and 5 years teaching experience with adults in a Masters Program in Education. I am very skilled in explaining difficult concepts to any learner and in making the learning experience enjoyable. I am an excellent writer and writing tutor, and I have worked with students for years on their college and graduate program admissions essays. In addition, I have 12 years of experience as an editor of student work,on the middle school, high school, college, and graduate level. I have 3 years of experience tutoring adult, college and K-12 students in test prep (SAT, PSAT, ACT, GRE) and in school subjects (Algebra, Algebra II, Chemistry, and English). I deliver individualized instruction targeting the areas that students need most. In test prep this includes both content review and focused practice as well as test-taking strategies.
