Private tutor in Austin, TX

Education

I'm currently a Business Management student at Texas State University. I have an Associate's Degree in Business from Austin Community College and an Associate's Degree in music from Miami Dade College. Having been to a Bilingual school from elementary through High School, I have a great understanding of the Spanish language.

Experience

I have been tutoring Spanish for 5 years and have been speaking Spanish all my life. I like being a tutor because I love the Spanish language and I greatly enjoy teaching it and learning alongside my students. I love to observe the progress and watch as students become more comfortable and begin to enjoy speaking this beautiful language. I adapt my lessons to the needs of each particular student given that not all students have the same goals. Some need the lessons for something like a class and others enroll to become conversational. Both of these scenarios require completely different teaching methods and I pride myself in being able to adapt between the two.

Hobbies

I love music from all parts of the world and different time periods, film, food, renaissance and baroque art, foreign languages (even the ones I don't speak haha), travel, and current events. I like to write songs on the guitar and produce music using computer programs like Logic or Pro Tools. On the weekends, I'm active in the music scene in Austin, TX.
