University of Wisconsin-Madison - Bachelors, Interior Design, Business, Textile Science , The University of Texas at Austin - Masters, Historic Preservation, Architecture
I attended the University of Texas-Austin and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The first awarded me a masters in historic preservation and architecture, the latter a bachelor's in interior design. These degrees helped me develop valuable skills in research, general history, public speaking, writing, and logical reasoning. I tutor a variety of subjects, such as AP English language, grammar, medieval history, reading comprehension, and ACT prep. I'm capable of helping students improve their understanding of world, art, and US histories. Graduate students can work alongside me to prepare for their subject tests, bolstering their test-taking strategies and overall scores. I encourage open discussion that allows the student to develop a solid foundation in the subject. I offer inclusive opportunities that encourages curiosity. I believe that concepts need to be presented in a way that the student can connect to it. I aim to develop the critical thinking skills the student needs to achieve success. I avoid learning through repetition and focus instead upon encouraging students to thoroughly understand and master the material. Education should help students build invaluable skills that can be used in their lives, both professional and personal. When I'm not tutoring, I am working to restore buildings around Austin, Texas.
