I really enjoy tutoring students in math. Throughout my experience, I've helped thousands of students who needed extra assistance to develop general math skills. It's very rewarding to help these students come to an understanding of such important subject matter for their academic careers. I often find that students want to learn and want to succeed, but they don't always know how to go after a goal. This is particularly true with disadvantaged students. I have to build a rapport and trust with the students to get them to work collaboratively with me, and then we are able to make progress. I tutor algebra, elementary school math, calculus, geometry, middle school math, pre-algebra, physics, science, applied math, and test preparation for the GED, ACT, SAT, CLEP, and other exams. In my spare time, I like to read, travel, and hike.
