I'm currently working towards my master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Texas at Austin. I have had a lot of experience teaching students in subjects like Spanish and ESL/ ELL. I've taught Spanish literacy through the AmeriCorps organization, and have also spent five years teaching at a Spanish/ English dual language school. I like tutoring on an individual basis, because it gives me the opportunity to get to know them individually, and really focus on their specific needs. I appreciate having the time to get to know them well, and see how their minds and personalities develop throughout our time together. My goal is to provide them with a caring, safe environment in which to learn. Outside of teaching, I enjoy cooking and hiking.
