I love education, and I love STEM topics. I studied microbiology at the University of Texas at El Paso. I've been teaching at the high school level for the past decade, helping students learn chemistry primarily, but also biology, physics, and environmental sciences. I enjoy helping students learn math and science, and that requires helping them learn how to learn. Every student learns in their own way, so I utilize different teaching modalities to figure out how each student that I work with learns best, and then we focus on that approach. I can tutor subjects such as chemistry, biology, ecology, environmental sciences, life sciences, microbiology, and Spanish. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, crocheting, hiking, and reading.
