Experience
I am dedicated to helping students build all of the skills that they need in order to succeed in the classroom and in the professional world. For me, there's nothing more satisfying than watching my students overcome their challenges and have that moment of clarity where everything suddenly makes sense. As a teacher, I love not only helping my students overcome their various challenges in the classroom, but also developing the same love for learning that I gained over the years. I have experience working in the California public school system as a middle and high school teacher. I graduated from the University of California - Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in history, and I also have a master's degree in terrorism studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. I'm able to teach a lot of different subjects at the elementary, middle, and high school level, as well as Arabic and English literature. My favorite subjects to tutor are related to social sciences. I work hard to make the classroom experience engaging and fun, so that all of my students are able to benefit from my lessons regardless of their learning styles. When I'm not teaching, I like to spend my time hiking, reading, and writing.
