Experience
I earned my bachelor of science degree from the Moody College of Communication of the University of Texas in Austin. I remember what it's like to prepare for college - both incredibly exciting, and incredibly scary. This is my main motivation for working as a tutor. I am honored to have the opportunity to assist other students as they face the future. Part of that is helping students do well on standardized tests, such as the SAT, PSAT, STARR, and others. Whether a student needs help with the content, or a more focused study of how to take the test, which is a subject on its own, I can be of help. College essays are another specialty of mine. I have been successful as a guide as students decide what to write about, and aiding them in making the best impression they can possibly give to potential institutions. I encourage them to work at least as hard in the editing phase as the creation phase, which is where the already excellent is perfected. I also tutor in a number of high school topics, as well as elementary and middle school math, reading, and writing. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy writing, watching films, and playing with my dog.
