I had my first exposure to Computer Science in junior year of high school, where I started learning about Java and how to write things with it in the AP Computer Science elective that I took at Tom C. Clark Highschool. I attended UTSA for a bachelors in Computer Science. I put a hold on my major in the last year to pursue career opportunities I am very active in online communities that constantly keep me up to date on the field, and offer great insights to improve my abilities.
Experience
I have been programming on personal projects for over four years. I taught myself how to write a multiplayer video game from scratch. My prior experience allowed me to breeze through many of my college programming courses, especially Java and applications related courses. I interned at HEB as an IT intern for two summers, working with software developers on full stack projects. I love tutoring people because I have noticed that when teachers in this subject have no enthusiasm and don't do a great job, it can scare people away for life. I'm here to bring back the enthusiasm. I tutored Computer Science majors in UTSA and graded their labs and assignments for two semesters. I tutored Computer Science to Brennan Highschool students in San Antonio for two months.
