I have my PhD in genetics and have completed my undergrad studies in zoology. I am currently a professional biology instructor and have approximately fifteen years of experience in the teaching and tutoring world. Beyond my education in zoology and biology, I also have experience helping students prepare for their standardized tests. As for my tutoring style, I believe in a personalized approach. I understand that no two students are the same. Because of this, I tailor personalized lessons for each student depending on their skill level, their strengths, and their weaknesses. I also believe in collaborating information while teaching. For example, some students do well when they are learning broader skills. On the other hand, some students may be more comfortable focusing on one subject at a time. It really all comes down to the way the student learns and what works best for him or her. Goals are centered around the learner. I can effectively work with both types of students. My main goal is to help my students reach their own academic goals. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy yoga, running, music, and reading books. I currently reside in Austin, Texas.
