I am currently a 4th Grade Dual Language (Spanish-English Bilingual) teacher at Menchaca Elementary. I have three years of experience teaching at the elementary school level (Grades 3 and 4). I have a degree in Early Childhood-6th grade Education – Bilingual Generalist. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a GPA of 3.9, majoring in Applied Learning and Development. I was a Political Science/International Studies major/Spanish minor for my first 2 years of college at Southern Methodist University.

Experience

I have tutored high school students and adults (via UniversityTutor) in the following areas: Spanish (I & II), English Language Arts, Algebra I have tutored high school students (through a local church) in the following areas: Algebra I, Geography, Biology, English Language Arts I have previously tutored middle school-aged and students in English/Math/Social Studies (Metz Recreational Center After-school Program; Paredes Middle School; Cornerstone Crossroads Academy (High School age) - Dallas, TX) Received a score of "4" on AP Language Arts and AP Literature exams National Merit Commended Scholar in High School (Loretto Academy - El Paso, Texas) Fluent in Spanish (native speaker) I absolutely love my job as a teacher and value the pursuit of knowledge at any age. I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to help individuals discover that same passion for learning. As a tutor, I strive to create a personal relationship with each of my students/clients.
