Experience
I studied at Michigan State University, where I majored in French, with specializations in Spanish and in history. I studied under some brilliant professors in whose classes we covered every era of French literature (from Molière to Stendhal to Camus) and French linguistics. In the summer of 2009, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Tours, which is in the Loire Valley. It was an amazing experience. I studied French during the day and went home to a French family who hosted me for my stay. I graduated from Michigan State in May, 2011. After graduating, I moved to Le Mans, France, and I worked as an assistant de langue vivant at Lycée Marguerite Yourcenar. I taught lycéens from the ages of fourteen to nineteen. It was a really rewarding experience, and I look forward to replicating the same experience here in Austin. After returning to the US in May, I moved to Austin.
