Walker Winn, Pharm.D. received his pharmacist license in 2015 after graduating with Honors (3.8 GPA) from The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. Dr. Winn also holds a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin. During pharmacy school, Dr. Winn was awarded with membership in the Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society and received the Special Recognition for Excellence in Elderly Patient Care award. Dr. Winn also holds certifications in Basic Life Support through The American Heart Association, Medication Therapy Management, and Immunization Delivery through The American Pharmacists Association. Dr. Winn focuses on incorporating his knowledge of nutrition into pharmacy practice to more completely address patients' medication, nutrition, and supplement-related questions and improve patients' understanding of medication information, nutrition, and overall health outcomes. I have been actively involved in tutoring since 2008 and have experience tutoring students of middle school ages through adults in pharmacy school. During pharmacy school, I was employed by the College of Pharmacy for weekly tutoring of assigned Pharm.D. students. Before pharmacy school, I was involved in pre-pharmacy tutoring/guidance as well as tutoring for several other science and math subjects. In addition to didactic tutoring, I enjoy helping pre-pharmacy students with their application process, essays, letters of recommendation (which I do offer, from time to time, for exceptional students), and general 'posturing' for the application process including coordinating pharmacy experience and volunteer work.
