Experience
I am currently a Curriculum Specialist for the Austin ISD Science Curriculum Department. Formerly, I taught 7th grade science and served as a teaching assistant for multiple introductory science courses at the University of Texas at Austin and Indiana University Bloomington. Indeed, it was my time as a graduate teaching assistant that inspired me to give up my Ph.D. work and pursue a career in science education. I am a graduate of the UTeach program, a nationally recognized and applauded teacher certification program. I enjoy working in the education field, and I love to help people learn and discover new ideas and interests. And simply, I'm good at it. As an educator, I have won multiple teaching awards, including the AISD Teacher of Promise award and the Outstanding Teaching Assistant award from the School of Biological Sciences at UT.
