I have been working much of the last year as a Supplemental Instruction Leader at Austin Community College—enjoying the opportunity to provide extra help to students in English Composition and Spanish courses—and as a math tutor at Garcia Middle School. As I understand education to be one of the most important parts of a person's life, I feel privileged to offer my own knowledge and experience to those looking for help in whatever path they have taken. A tutor also has the opportunity to learn along with the students, too, for which I am very grateful. I scored a 2060 on the SAT when I took it in 2007. My writing score allowed me to be exempt from ENGL 101 and 102 at the University of North Carolina. I also scored high enough on the AP Exams in US History, World History, Biology, and Statistics to pass out of those equivalent required courses at UNC.
