Private tutor in Austin, TX

For me, being a tutor is all about the "ah-ha" moments. Each student has a unique mindset, offers a unique perspective, and posses a unique challenge. I take the time to understand each students strengths and weaknesses, and tailor my teaching style to fit their needs. I have been tutoring or teaching for five years now. In High school I helped students with one-on-one tutoring in a variety of subjects. I've also tutored my younger siblings, 4th - 10th grade, in all of their subjects. I draw on these experiences whenever I have an opportunity to teach. I've also found personal success in the classroom. Here at UT, I work hard in all my classes to garner a fundamental understanding of all my studies. In high school I took all AP classes and many AP exams. I was able to earn a perfect score in the math section of the SAT, and a 34 on the overall ACT. This combination of experience and "walking the walk" is what allows me to succeed as a tutor.

I spend the majority of my free time as Team Captain of the FSAE team, Longhorn Racing Electric. I pilot the team as we design, build, and race formula style race cars. Any give day I juggle many different hats. In one moment I might be discussing our progress with the various leads, the next I am offering design advice to our younger members, and often I'm machining the various parts that make up the car. While alone, I enjoy reading. My favorite book is 20,000 leagues under the sea. I have read many different adaptations of the grand undersea adventure. I also try to get out of the house and garage fairly often. My daily run helps refresh me, and I like to take some time on the weekends to hike the various trails around Austin.
