Private tutor in Austin, TX

Education

University of Texas, Austin Ph.D Chemical Engineering; 2015-Present University of California, Santa Barbara Bachelor's Degree- Chemistry; 2008-2012

Experience

I tutored students/friends in high school and I enjoyed it so I continued throughout my college career. I majored in Chemistry so I have a strong math and science background, but I am also comfortable working with students on English, Spanish, writing, reading, etc. I want to tutor because I feel teaching is the best way to learn, so I can keep my mind active in different subject areas and help others gain a better understanding of the material being studied. I have participated in several outreach programs that aim at getting students interested in science, so I have a good understanding of how to get students involved and get them to have a fun time learning.

Hobbies

I am currently a student at UT Austin pursuing my degree in chemical engineering. My group is working towards CO2 sequestration by developing new matetials. Aside from work I like to play volleyball, hang out with friends, go to the park with my dog, or relax at home watching tv. I also love to cook and bake when I get the chance.
