Graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Psychology and a Minor in Education.
Experience
I am a native speaker in Spanish and grew up in Mexico so I have gone through the ESL experience myself. I have also taken study aids classes so I have acquired the skills and methods that are needed in order to learn and retain all the new information. I have started tutoring college students for their Spanish classes in the sidelines and have seen great results so far. I decided to be a tutor because I enjoy teaching others my native language, especially since the need for bilingual speakers is very high now. I have also participated in a research project from UT Austin that involved looking at the effects that translating from English to Spanish has on children so I also have experience on dealing with that sort of situation.
