Experience
I am new to the Austin area, having moved not long ago from Illinois. At present, I am a middle school teacher. My primary subjects are Language Arts, Social Studies, and Reading. I also teach a class in SAT test preparation. I obtained a Master of Education degree a year ago from Concordia University. My previous alma maters are Lake Forest College and Judson University. I believe learning should be a fun and engaging process. I am qualified to tutor elementary, middle, and high school students across the academic spectrum. Some subjects I tutor, just to name a few: Math (from Elementary Math to Algebra 2 and Geometry), English, Reading, Writing, and History. Additionally, I am qualified to tutor students in preparation for the ACT, SAT, SSAT, ISAT, ISEE, and PSAT. I am comfortable tutoring students at all levels of ability, from AP students to children with special needs. I should also mention that I am fluent in Spanish and Russian (I am originally from the Ukraine, although I consider my self a Chicagoan). On my own time, I like to play the piano, read novels, and enjoy time with my husband and three year old. I enjoy helping each child find their own unique path to success in learning.
