Hello. My name is Francesca, and I am a graduate of St. Edward's University. I have taught in the classroom for a number of years, and hold a teaching certification in Secondary English Language Arts. My focus as a teacher is to ensure student success by provided highly focused instruction. When I was in college, the phrase "the unexamined life is not worth living" was what guided all my thoughts, actions, and plans. Today, it remains the lens through which I see my students in high school and middle school. To achieve that, I believe it is imperative that every student develop and nurture the tools that allow them to become critical thinkers. When they reach that higher level of thinking, they will find success in school and in their life. I can tutor several subjects including Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Phonics, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, College Essays, Public Speaking, English, and AP English Literature and Composition. I live in Austin. In my spare time, I enjoy running, reading, hiking, and cooking. Austin is a wonderful city in which to live, and I like to explore new writing communities and discovering new organic food markets.
