Private tutor in Austin, TX

Brown University - BA, Africana Studies/American Civilization , UT Austin - JD - EXPECTED, Law

I have been tutoring students from kindergarten to the third grade in special education for the last 11 years. I went to work with the public school system in Baltimore City after getting degrees from African Studies and American Civilization from Brown University. I tutor not only in the centers for tutoring but with private students as well. I graduated with a GPA of a 4.0 and was also magna cum laude. I also graduated Phi Beta Kappa. I practice with Austin's leading law offices, and can tutor SAT, LSAT, and ACT prep classes. My biggest passion in tutoring is teaching essay writing, math, and the standardized test prep that is so important in the education system today. I've been an editor for a nonprofit newspaper and have done a lot of research into the fields of political science and law. I work as a research assistant in African-American and African Diaspora Studies with the University of Texas. In my free time, I enjoy yoga, basketball, and playing the piano. I feel that getting a proper education is very important if you intend to make it in today's turbulent society and look forward to teaching your student the joys learning can bring them.
