Experience
I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a bachelor's degree in Contemporary Studies and Leadership. At present, I am in the process of earning my Texas Teachers ACP alternative teaching certificate to teach grades 4-8 and plan to continue my education by earning upper-level certifications in the future. I have been a tutor since my undergraduate days, and I am currently a volunteer tutor at elementary schools. I am able to tutor many subjects, including reading, writing, literature, social studies, and history. I am also able to assist students in exam preparation for advanced classes like AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, AP U.S. History, AP European History, and AP World History. However, I most enjoy tutoring all levels of German, history, and ELA. I have studied German throughout my education, and also lived in Germany for four years. I love to share my passion for this unique language with my students! I like to discover my students' individual learning styles, and I tailor my tutoring plans accordingly. Using an interactive and creative approach, I help students build a strong foundation in any subject we work on together. In my free time, I enjoy knitting, sculpting, sewing, gardening, and baking.
