Experience
While earning my Bachelor of Arts in English at Principia College, I tutored students in high school and college English, literature, and writing. During my junior year at PC, I worked as a tutor at the writing center after I passed the required training course. In addition, I helped students write college essays in multiple subjects as a Peer Writing Tutor. Post-graduation, I worked with literature students on writing and editing papers for the English department. In Austin, Texas, I run one of UT's student residences. As a tutor, I enjoy watching students as they develop their writing skills. I work with each student to develop a thorough understanding of the subject, providing them with strategies and tools proven to be effective. I can guide students from elementary school to college in expressing their thoughts, finding their voice, and completing any tasks they face. Between my experience and education, I can provide well-rounded support and encouragement to the students I work with. During my down time, I enjoy riding my bike through the park, as well as writing and reading under the trees. I love exploring the variety of locations around Austin as well.
