Experience

I earned my BS in Biological Engineering from the University of Missouri and my MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas. At the present time, I'm planning on attending medical school in the near future. I have tutoring experience in Chemistry 2 and Physics 1, and taught Engineering Interest Groups as a Peer Advisor in a residence hall. I especially enjoy tutoring students needing assistance with science and math, though I am able to tutor in a wide variety of subjects. Regardless of the topic, I always enjoy tapping into a student's current knowledge or leading them to the answer using real world connections. It's a great way to help students learn to think on their own. It is also good for creating connections in the student's mind, so they don't forget once they have learned something. One of my areas of expertise is Critical Reading but I also help with ACT and MCAT test prep and a wide range of math and science topics. When I'm not tutoring, my interests include participating in sports games, watching films and lots of reading, especially sci-fi and fantasy novels.
