I tutor writing, chemistry, and psychology, helping students figure out the ways they learn best. I provide tips and tricks, in an effort to make them better at learning, no matter the academic challenge they may be facing. In addition, I'm proficient in other topics, including middle school math, physics, anatomy, astronomy, English, ESL/ELL, and study skills. I can assist with anything from essay editing to special education needs as well. My strongest teaching skills include my ability to explain topics in different ways, helping the student understand them, and breaking down the more complicated problems into bits the student is able to manage.Formerly a full-time science teacher at a high school, I spent four years working at a public school and have recently been working part time in my community in Austin, Texas. I attended college at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. My education also included education and science coursework. I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling while at Sam Houston State University so I have skills and proficiency in many different areas. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, running, and yoga.
