Experience
My strongest interests include one on one teaching in my chosen field. Since I love just discussing science in any setting, it thrills me when I am explaining something and the light suddenly turns on. I tutor in anatomy, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, and English and can help get one prepared for exams such as the MCAT and GMAT. Following all scientific and technological fields, I constantly incorporate new ideas in my work in the field and with students.I have worked in the biotech industry for some time. In my career, I have lectured on microbiology and am currently engaged in research related to vaccine development. I studied at Birmingham-Southern College as an undergraduate and earned my B.S. in Biology. After I graduated, I worked for 2 years and then went to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center to get my PhD in Genes and Development. I studied immunology, cancer, and genetics while enrolled in the program. Now living in Austin, Texas, I enjoy applying what I know to help others still in their academic career succeed. I enjoy building computers, exploring history and aquariums, watching/reading science fiction, and seeing movies with my wife when not working or tutoring.
