I have a career in writing and have been tutoring writing, essay editing, journalism, grammar, and math since I was in high school. Communicating using the written word is my greatest passion. My degree is in journalism, which I received upon graduation from Prairie View A&M University. Throughout my career, I have held many roles, including newspaper writer in which I was based in San Antonio, Washington D.C., Hartford, and Fort Worth, where I covered higher education, politics, and the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Cowboys. Also, I've been to 4 different Super Bowls plus a Major League Baseball All-Star Game and an NBA All-Star Game. As a professional editor, I've served as a help to many journalists, helping dozens with their writing and reporting.Subjects I cover include reading, writing, elementary and middle school level math, English, public speaking, and study skills and organization, so I can help your student in many ways.I now live in Austin, Texas, and enjoy running during my time off. A personal fact is I have run in and completed 8 marathons. I have been in over 12 half marathons as well. Aside from politics and reading, I am a father to an eight-year-old son, which I enjoy very much.
