Education

The University of Texas at Austin - BBA, Supply Chain Management

Experience

I am currently a Business major with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management at the University of Texas at Austin, while also accumulating the necessary prerequisites for medical school. I have been tutoring for the past five years, and really enjoy it. Currently, I am tutoring at a Title I junior high school with Austin Partners in Education, a non-profit. My preference, though, is working with students preparing for the SAT. I teach SAT preparation courses in the summer, and I enjoy the fact that strategy and familiarity play a greater role in student success than the memorization of facts and figures. I also enjoy both Math and English, and am comfortable working with students in both subjects. Education plays an important role in success as a student and beyond, and for some students a tutor can provide the necessary boost, reinforcing classroom learning and helping to fill in gaps. When I'm not in school or working, I like to write, to volunteer in the community, to watch sports, and to travel.
