I earned my undergraduate degree in English from Northwestern University, and I am currently applying to graduate schools to work toward a master's degree in Social Work and Child Therapy. I have a passion for teaching the English language and its related subjects, like literature, reading, writing, and editing. I have been tutoring since I was in high school, so I have a significant amount of experience assisting students in English. I'm comfortable working with students ranging in age from grade schoolers to college students and beyond. I enjoy helping my students find personal connections to any and all of their English coursework. I'm also an accomplished editor, and have a knack for helping my students edit and revise their college application essays. When editing, I aim to let the student's voice shine by simply polishing their work. I assist my students by helping them with grammar, word choice, and repetition elimination, not by writing the essay for them. I am also happy to help students with their French coursework. My mother is French, so I grew up with French culture and media. Whether working in English or French, I love to help my students master their subjects while still having fun!
