I'm certified to teach kindergarten through 8th grade in Arizona (though have taught preschool through 1st graders professionally) and love to teach early math and reading skills. I also cover writing, phonics, vocabulary, ESL/ELL, handwriting, art, and GED test prep. In my career, I have helped kids at all levels, regardless of learning style. I've taught English language learners, gifted students, and those who were speech impaired, developmentally delayed, or autistic.All my life I have loved to learn and am just as excited about teaching and tutoring. I use techniques and tools that make learning fun. As a tutor this means I can help your child no matter what level they are on, with the right methods to get them on track without putting too much pressure on them. They will emerge confident and more skilled.As for my education, I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science in Education, with an emphasis in Language Arts. In addition to being state certified, I have been endorsed in Structured English Immersion and Early Childhood Education. I currently reside in Phoenix, Arizona and love to read in my spare time. Also, I enjoy jogging, practicing yoga, and traveling.
