Experience

As a tutor, I can help people grasp a concept they are wrestling with, or deepen their understanding of theory and application. An aerospace engineer and software developer, I have a firm understanding of mathematical concepts such as algebra, geometry, and calculus plus physics and science in general. My career requires applying math problems to the real world, which I do one-on-one while breaking down complicated subjects in parts a younger student can digest. I believe learning is a collaborative experience and work with each student to ensure lessons are in line with what they need to learn.Math is something most people find tough, but the truth is anyone can do well if they can relate more to the material. I can do this, as I have a diverse background that includes degrees in engineering and also liberal arts. It's no problem for me to relate any subject to the student's strengths and interests or to any subject for that matter. My study skills are exceptional too which helps me be a good influence on students. A graduate of the University of Colorado - Boulder and Tulane University of Louisiana, I'm a visual artist and learning to play the guitar.
