University of Texas at Austin - BS, Human Biology , University of St Augustine for Health Sciences - DPT, Physical Therapy
I attended the University of Texas at Austin, where I graduated with my bachelor's degree in 2012. Since then, I've been enrolled at the University of St. Augustine and have been pursuing my doctorate in physical therapy. Throughout my experience as a student, I've spent a bulk of my free time tutoring reading and math to students of all ages. Having the privilege to help elementary, middle school, and high school pupils overcome their challenges and gain a better understanding in math, English and science courses has been a rewarding experience. In addition, I've also helped elementary-aged students learn the importance of health, physical education, and living an active lifestyle. I believe that there's no such thing as a bad student, just those who haven't been able to learn in a way that works best for them. For this reason, I like to come up with custom-tailored lessons designed to target specific weaknesses while helping individuals build upon their existing strengths. Additionally, I also like to incorporate activities, hands-on exercises, and interactive materials to help make it easier for students to retain the material from every lesson. Outside of academia and health sciences, my other hobbies include do-it-yourself hobbies, cooking new dishes, and playing tennis.
