Experience
I attended Georgetown University. While attending Georgetown as a student, I began to tutor. Upon graduation from Georgetown, I spent about four years working in New York City where I was employed by a bank. My position at the bank entailed trading money markets. However, many of the people I worked with spoke Spanish and Portuguese. Because of this, I decided to go back to school to learn new languages. Currently, I am certified in the English language, English as a second language, Spanish, social studies, and dance. I have been teaching in the state of Texas for about fourteen years now. I also have coached a tennis team for eleven years. Along with that, I have experience directing ballet. I currently also teach an AVID course. If you are not aware, AVID is a college preparation course. While instructing the AVID course, I prepare students in writing their college essays. When I am not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy dance, wine tasting, yoga, exercise, discussing politics and history, and writing. I am a current resident of Austin, Texas.
