Education

Washington and Lee University Class of 2015. Studio Art and Art History double major, 3.8 GPA. I was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. I studied Art History and Creative Writing at Oxford for a semester. I also studied drawing in Italy for a semester.

Experience

Hey y'all! I'm currently an SAT an ACT tutor, and I have tutored middle school reading and math in the past. I scored a 2290/2240 on the SAT and got 5s on all but one of my 9 AP tests in high school. I'm also a working artist! I have taught drawing before, and I can also teach oil, acrylics, landscape, portraits, and other techniques and media. I work with all types of students. I have a good sense of humor and I teach students to love learning. Since I graduated from a liberal arts university, I can teach students to think critically and creatively. My plan is to get my MFA in the next few years and teach art at the college level.

Hobbies

I do a lot of painting and printmaking, and sell my work through my website, ryanpainter.com. Outside of art and teaching, I have a lot of hobbies. I've played piano for 15 years (and can teach it!), I listen to lots of music, and I love reading, writing, sports (go cowboys!) and the outdoors.
