Texas State University - BS(psych)/BA(span), Psych/Spanish (dual)

My teaching philosophy is that one needs to take into account the passions of each individual student in order to create an interest that will allow him or her to truly understand that particular topic.I currently study at Texas State University, and am working toward both a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. I will graduate in the spring of 2016. I frequently assist a TSU psychology professor with research. While studying abroad last year in Spain, I worked as an assistant in an English class for elementary students from the ages of 4 to 12. This opportunity allowed me to become immersed in the Spanish culture and language. Beyond my time in Spain, I have experience working with students of all ages in music, which has given me strong skills in working with students on an individual basis.I feel most comfortable teaching a variety of different levels of Spanish. I also have the ability to teach psychology and social sciences. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, running, and hiking. I also have a passion for music, and play in a band in the Austin area.
