Experience
Currently living in Austin, Texas, I recently graduated from Harvard with a PhD and am aiming to enrich the learning of others through tutoring. I want to share knowledge, foster growth, and instill confidence in the students that I teach. I am a native of New York City, but I attended a boarding school in New England called the Hotchkiss School. I later received a bachelor's degree from Brown in international studies. I have tutored since my sophomore year of college, at Brown University, where I worked with elementary students on Spanish and math skills. I have also worked in high schools, tutoring English, Spanish, and Pre-Calculus. I currently am able to tutor Spanish, Reading, and English writing and grammar. I have also previously tutored Portuguese. I have spent time living in both Spain and Portugal, and I am fluent in both languages. These experiences were important to me, as I love to have new experiences and meet interesting people. I always strive to instill confidence in my students, giving them the confidence to know that they can learn whatever they wish. When I'm not tutoring, I love to cook, read, and be active. I also like to visit parks, lakes, and outdoor music venues.
