Education

University of Texas at Austin - BS, Psychology

Experience

I am currently working towards my bachelor's degree in the field of Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and following undergrad I plan on attending medical school and going on to a career as a surgeon. Ever since I was young, I have been very strong in the field of Math and acted as a tutor of sorts for my peers. I enjoy working with students who are dealing with anything from Algebra up through Calculus. I also have experience assisting students as they prepare for the Math section of standardized tests like the SAT. I believe that the key to teaching Math is to make sure the student knows how and why to do every single step of a problem, no matter how little. I look at Math as a lot like surgery, where the material needs to be dissected before it can be solved. When I am not in the classroom or working as a tutor, I like to spend my time reading, playing sports, and hanging out with my friends.
