Teaching and tutoring languages has always been a big part of my life. I have studied abroad extensively in order to immerse myself in both Spanish and Chinese. I deeply enjoy interacting with my students and engaging in a very open, communicative learning experience; I love to see my students grow, learn, and succeed at their goals! I will be sure to tailor our lessons to specifics goals that you want to reach and will regularly monitor our progress to make sure you're getting your money's worth. Here are some examples of what I've accomplished with the languages I specialize in: Study abroad with CET Academic Programs at Beijing Institute of Education. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship study abroad in Hangzhou. 1 year as a Bilingual Early Literacy Tutor with ACE AmeriCorps, including extensive Pre-Service Training. 6 months as an ESL teacher at refugee asylum Casa Marianella. Extensive study abroad throughout Latin America. Scored a 5 on AP Spanish test. Currently taking a Master Certification Program for TEFL/TESOL. in 2014 I was awarded an Honorable Mention for Dean's Distinguished Graduates.
