Experience

I have been a classroom teacher since 2001. I have taught mostly middle school grades, but I'm very familiar with elementary curriculum. My strengths are reading and writing. I started teaching sixth grade all subjects then moved to eighth grade English. I'm currently teaching sixth grade ELA. While I was in college, I did some field work with second through fourth graders.

I have three boys ages 12, 8 and 2. I come from a family of teachers so teaching is in my blood. I am well versed in anything Marvel, Disney and Star Wars, the benefits of having boys. I connect well with kids, some say it is because I am still a kid myself. :-) I enjoy reading, scrap booking and creating cards. Unfortunately, with three children this is hard to do, but I enjoy it nonetheless.
